Input to this screen can be a file(s) of samples into the Viterbi detector, or complete waveforms into the analog channel. In the latter case, the channel front-end screen can be called to perform filtering, AGC and PLL controlled sampling functions. After detection with a generalized Viterbi detector, sync detection can be performed on the data decisions. Post-processing analysis including bit error rate (BER), histograms, mean squared error (MSE) and correlations are provided for each processed input file. Correlation plots are useful for identifying patterns in bit errors and in sample errors. Additional customer-driven analysis features are planned for future releases of PRMLpro™.
